Among Kim’s designs are a beautiful stenciled butterfly, representing of joy and happiness in many Asian cultures, calligraphy characters that evoke the emotions of Chinese theater, and rich, intricate floral patterns.

About the Artist: Candace Kim grew up in the Richmond District of San Francisco adoring trips downtown to the galleries and spent 10 years in her family’s native China studying architecture. Inspired by Jianzhi paper cutting designs, as well as her children’s finger paintings, she enjoys drawing pen and ink American-Chinese fusion artwork.
