ColourPalette: Runco Cool

Introducing Runco Cool™, a new color in the Runco ColourPalette Signature Collection.
We selected this cool green-blue after seeing the Pantone organization reveal their 2010 Color of the Yearwhich is a similarly icy turquoise.  We loved how the color is reminiscent of tranquil tropical beaches, crystal blue skies, and frosty holiday decorations, and the fact that so many cultures over the centuries have celebrated the color as a harbinger of good luck or protection. It is the breathtaking shade of the aquarium water at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Of course it’s similarity to the gift box from one of our favoriteretailers, was no coincidence either.  Keeping with the jewelry theme, we found that the color looked particularly nice with the platinum-toned trim on the VX, Q, and SC projector platforms and believe it will be a stunning color combination in your home.  Like a gift box for your theater.

When we were assembling colors for the recently launched ColourPalette, we took cues from the world of design and from nature, from the science of color and light, and our own preferences.  We’ll be featuring each color in the ColourPalette Signature Collection.  Follow our feed or bookmark this page to hear about additional colors we have selected for the palette and the color-matching service we offer to allow you to match your projector, LCD, or plasma display precisely to your room décor.

The Pacific Design Center hosts West Week, an internationally-recognized design trade event that welcomes thousands of design professionals each spring. The event includes top industry keynote speakers, showroom programs, book signings, exhibitions, product launches and the 14th annual ‘Stars of Design’ ceremony. Experts discuss and present such items as trends graphic & interior design, urban landscape, photography, contemporary art and architecture. Highlights of the event include programs hosted by Architectural Record, Elle Décor, House & Garden, and Metropolitan Home.
