Living Room 3D

So, just when we think we have embarked on a new era, a world with 3D entertainment in the home, we are reminded that everything new is old. This parlor stereographoscope (say THAT 3 times fast!) was one of the first living room 3D displays. Put your stereo pair photography on the piano-music-style stand and viola!
This brief article, from AAA's Via Magazine, claims that hundreds of millions of 3D photographs were in circulation. We long for the day that we can say the same about 3D Blu-Rays and broadcasts so that homeowners could enjoy them on their 3Dimension™ 3D projector!
This and other artifacts are on display at the 3D Center of Art and Photography in Portland, Oregon, just a few miles from our offices here at Runco.
